The comments made by people claiming to be truthers on Francis O'Neill's most recent articles Plane Speaking & 9/11 Directed Energy are as transparent and revealing as usual. Claims that are never defensible in any compelling way, which is why they do not engage in a point by point rebuttal of the primary data. The claims would not even qualify as hypotheses because they do not describe or explain observations.

Below Francis O'Neill's two recent articles providing a detailed overview and critical analysis of disinformation aimed at 9/11 truth we see some textbook examples of this. Right away we can see 9/11 Revisionist has pasted a wall of text and links (making nonsensical claims) under all of them. One of the more entertaining bits is the 'debating' that goes on, while all sides [in this case: David A Hughes, Charles, & 9/11 Revisionist] are making absurd claims, 'argued' in great detail.

It is good to remember that the metrics we see (Likes, length of the replies etc) do not necessarily reflect reality. Sock puppet software enables single operator to create numerous aliases on social media, forums, or other online platforms. These identities are then used to manipulate discussions, create the illusion of consensus or astroturfing. The Phillip Cross Affair comes to mind, but these lesser examples are no less transparent.

Disinformation [aka perception management psyops] is a finely-honed craft that exploits the way memory & classical conditioning work. Through the use of keywords, memes are formed that serve as triggers which evoke conditioned emotional responses. Through the pairing of the ideas and emotions keywords evoke, they get associated with a particular idea i.e., '9/11 truthers make ridiculous and offensive claims'.

What is especially crafty about the 'no plane hit the pentagon' claim is that it works in tandem with the related, more transparently absurd, claim that no planes hit the towers and the videos are cgi. Through the use of similar (or identical) keywords, these ideas become much more easily linked in the minds of people already predisposed to dismiss the disturbing implications of 9/11 Truth.
